Vita Nova ist ein Projekt von VK Lynne, einer in Los Angeles beheimateten Rocksängerin. Musiker aus aller Welt haben an diesem Album ihren Anteil, so auch eine Vielzahl Sängerinen der Eve’s Apple Community, die zwischenzeitlich leider das Ende ihrer gemeinsamen Arbeit verkündet hat. Somit ist dieses Album auch ein Vermächtnis von drei Jahren angestrengter und erfolgreicher Arbeit.

Intro und Outro ist der geteilte Song “Alone”, welcher zunächst ein Gedicht war, das von VK Lynne in einem dunklen Augenblick geschrieben wurde. Eines Nachts, nahm sie den Text und begann zu singen. Und obwohl VK keine ausgebildete Sopranistin ist, hat es funktioniert! Den aufgezeichneten Mitschnitt schickte sie einem Freund und Gitarristen, Federico Salerno aus Mailand, der auf die Idee kam, den Song zu teilen und als Intro und Outro zu nutzen. Eine zerbrechlich wirkende Sopranstimme untermalt von einem Keyboard. Ein würdiger Rahmen für dieses Album.

Und zwischen den beiden Song-Teilen gibt es Frauenpower pur! Unterstützt von hervorragenden Sängerinnen wird Rock-Musik vom Feinsten kredenzt. Mit von der Partie sind

Mein absolutes Highlight auf dem Album ist Scary Place, ein melodischer Metal-Song, oder der Titelsong, Vita Nova – balladesk und ruhig. Dieses Album ist ein Muss für alle Fans von Female fronted Rock und Metal Musik! Das gesamte Album ist fett produziert, treibende Gitarrenriffs, wunderbar melodiöse Hooklines, dezent eingesetzte Keyboards und den Rhythmus vorgebende Drums, für mich ein Anwärter für ein Album des Jahres!

Vita Nova is a project of VK Lynne, a Los Angeles-based rock singer. Musicians from around the world have taken part on this album, as well as a variety of singers of Eve’s Apple community, which has sadly announced the end of their joint work. Thus, this album is also a legacy of three years of strenuous and successful work.

Intro and outro is the cuttedsong „Alone“, which was initially a poem that was written by VK Lynne in a dark moment. One night, she took the text and began to sing. And even though VK is not a trained soprano, it worked! The recording she sent to a friend and guitarist – Federico Salerno from Milan, who came up with the idea to split the song and use it as the intro and outro. A fragile soprano voice accompanied by a keyboard. A worthy frame for this album.

My absolute highlight on the album is “Scary Place”, a melodic metal song, or the title song, “Vita Nova” – balladic and quiet. This album is a must have for all fans of female fronted rock and metal music! The whole album is produced powerful, driving guitar riffs, melodic hooks, wonderful discreet used keyboards  and the rhythm forces drumming, For me, a contender for album of the year!
